I'm a freelance writer published in books, magazine and newspaper columns. I am an animal lover, but a realistic one (no PETA fanaticism for me, although I am deeply involved in several animal rescue projects). I have never been interested in politics, until Sarah Palin prissed into the public eye, now I am a member of the ABP party (Anybody But Palin). I am sort of a conundrum, for instance I enjoy NASCAR and classical music. I am a liberal in the original sense of the word: open minded and able to accept new ideas. I enjoy gardening with herbs and heirloom flowers, and hope to open a business in the very near future offering both to the public. I enjoy wildlife watching, but not hunting (except with a camera). I think hunters should eat or use ALL of what they kill (not just the steaks or impressive racks) or they should be required to stick to shooting at targets. I drive too fast and I eat too much and I'm a terrible housekeeper, but I don't smoke, drink or cuss. OK, I don't smoke or drink. I enjoy meeting new people, and I love to travel and see new things.
